Christmas Eve eve!

Well it's just 2 more sleeps to go and we are just about set for Christmas all the pressies are wrapped (except sallys I've got to do that) we've got all the meat and veg and little treats. We're having lamb for dinner got a lovely lean leg. The kids are getting excited and I can't wait for Ethan to see what we've got him!

I had a trip into town on Saturday to get sallys Christmas presents on my own which was weird not having kids to keep an eye on! Town was rammed! I got the tram from work and then got off after and drove home which was quite stress free.

The week before last was Jolly Boyz Christmas Edition 2013 and we placed a photo of Steve hurt on the wall of dead legends in formans bar which was nice of the landlord as it's only for famous people.

The day was going so well until Steve Bailey and Paul Parkin thought it was a good idea to put a santa hat on top of the Brian Clough statue which resulted in Bailey falling off from having a leg up from Paul and broke his wrist and sprained the other one!
3 hours in a & E and then back out in the pub! Lol

I was out for the full day and felt surprisingly well for a 14hr session! Or should it be worryingly well? Lol

Earlier that week was Hollies first Christmas play which was great! Me and Sal were in the top balcony (vip roped off section of course!) and the view was great and Hollie kept waving at us during the show. She's a diamond x

Nolan has finished his second dose of antibiotics and fingers crossed I think he's almost fully recovered from his ear infection bless him.

Well I'll sign off with a few pictures from the last week or so

Nearly time for the big fat fella

Well Christmas is not far away only a few weeks we've got most of the presents still got a few more to get. It was Hollies 3rd birthday last week but unfortunately she's been really ill and Nolan has too. They've had a really bad cough for the last 3 weeks so we've had sleepless nights. So her birthday was a quiet one as she was so ill. I can't believe how quick she has grown up and what a lovely polite little girl she is. Don't get me wrong she can be a right little madam and when she's nice she's really nice but when she's bad she's a devil lol. Her talking is great and she has got so much confidence bless her I love her to bits. She's really into princess toys and clothes and pink things she's so girly!

Nolan is still being a lazy bones and not crawling but I'm sure when he does there will be no stopping him!
Ethan is still top of his class and doing fine and he's really into writing story's at the minute which is mostly about underpants and bogeys and all other funny boys things! He's asked for books for Christmas which is great for a lad his age and of course some games etc.

About 4 weeks ago me and Steven my nephew and my mate Ian went to the ice arena to see Micky Flanagan the comedian thanks to Irish John in his hospitality box with a fridge full of beer which was a great night! After the show we went round Nottingham for a few more just to finish us off! We went to cucamara which is a cocktail type of bar up hurts yard. Upon entering the bar we were greeted by a black barman with the biggest hands you've seen in your life! So we glanced through the menu and Ian asked the John coffee looking barman "have you got your own special drink?" The barman just smerked turned his back and began pouring  a lethal concoction of jack Daniels amureto cherry sours and coke and my god it was like rocket fuel but of course I had 3.
Then a kebab and a cab home followed by work the next morning which was fun!

Had a strange Steven hurt moment again! I went to the beer festival at the castle in November (thought I had blogged about it but I've just checked and I haven't) wow what a day that was lots of random ciders and Perry's and some nice food! And a scrap with some toffs but that's another story. Anyway me and Paul parkin were the last men standing and we went round notts and then round hucknall after and we went into h20 bar and there was a live band on and they played the song "littlest hobo" the song that was played at his funeral which really spun me out and brought a tear to my eye. I mean what's the chances of that song being played? I'm sure he's playing games with me.
And last week we went out for his birthday and again in h20 a killers song came on Mr bright side which was one of his favourite songs and one which most people relate to that as being his song. Weird but nice.

Well I think that's enough to read about for the time being on the day after the night Nelson Mandela died!

Quite recent since the last

Well not to long since my last blog! I was asked by my mate Ian a favour the other day one which quite frankly was out of the ordinary. Ian's father in law has a problem with drink. So obviously all of his family are worried about his health.
So I got a message from Ian asking me if I would go with him to see if we could talk some sense into him.

Now I've only met him one at Ian's wedding so it was a tough situation to be in as I was in his home telling him what to do with his life!
Who am I? Anyway it went really well as I seemed to have a calming affect on him. He seemed to talk to me in a different tone than how he spoke to Ian.

Anyway to cut a long story short we managed to get him to agree to have a assessment and if he passed then he would get a placement in priory (rehab)
Which is the best place to go and costs 3k a week!.

He promised that he would go.
It turned out the next day that he went to the assessment but then refused to go to rehab as 2 weeks was to long!
I really thought he wanted to stop drinking, I really thought that we had got on a level with him.

It was quite an experience talking to someone with problems and I felt like a councilor or social worker for a day. And looking back I quite enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong it was horrible seeing a grown man cry and being beheld to drink, but the feeling that I might of made a difference felt really good! Kind of doing a good deed for the day feeling?.

Family is doing fine Nolan is growing so fast and eating like its going out of fashion! Still no news from my other 2 boys, I emailed Callum a week a go but no reply :( I just told him that I love them both and think about them every day.

Well logging off for now and I'll add some photos when I sync them to my phone.

Oh yeah I took Hollie to the fair at Ilkeston the other week. Sally stayed at home with the other two as they had a bug. So I'll add some pics of that too!

Tot ta!

Long overdue blog!

Well the last time I blogged was about a week before my wife had our baby which turned out to be a boy!

He finally popped out on the 12th of February. We were shocked when he turned out to be a boy! We both thought he was a she!

Anyway Nolan is nearly 7 months old and is doing great. Hes so handsome ( like his dad of cause) hes so calm and chilled out its unreal!.

The 27th of august was steven hurts anniversary being the first year without him since he passed. It brought it all back and made it very raw again. I organized a bronze plaque to be made and has been placed in the chequers in his memory.
Its nice as the Brian clough statue is bronze so it just seemed right as cloughie is god! Whats good for him is good for steven hurt.

Summer has been quite a hot one for British weather but today has turned really cold from 24 yesterday to 14 today its quite a drop!

In the holidays we had some nice days out picnics , white post farm, wheel gate, newstead abbey.  Etc.

Yesterday was Hollies first day at play group and she loved it! As soon as we walked in she was off saying "hello" to the other children! Shes so sociable bless her!

Ethan has now moved up to the juniors so im guessing we will see some attitude in the coming days lol.

I really should of blogged every month since the birth of Nolan but its just flown by! I suppose its ni excuse it only take ten minutes eh?

Well anyway ill leave with a few pictures of the past few months.

Waiting!

Well Sally was kept in overnight to be monitored but nothing happened so this morning she was allowed to come home which I'm glad about as it was strange Sally not being around. I can cope with running the house and the kids but the house just didn't feel the same!

She's in so much pain bless her and feels like her waters are going to burst due to the pressure with the baby pushing down!
Sallys grandparents have been great having the kids no problem! They really enjoyed it! Which is really nice.

No sure what kind of night were going to have. It's one thing getting up every hour for a wee but with the pain on top its probably going to be worse.

This baby's got a lot to answer for! Lol
Early night tonight! Need to try and get some sleep!

Chow fa now!

In labour!

Well here we are its now half past 2 in the afternoon and we've been here since 10:45. Sally was 2cm dilated when they last checked and now she has been moved onto a ward (from the labour suite)

Now we're just waiting for the midwife to read her notes and make a plan!

It's took us by surprise to be honest as her section date is 11days away and that is booked earlier than her due date!

It's hot in here I'm tired as I did a 14 mile bike ride last night but I'm so excited! Can't wait to finally see the little one!

I will report back when something happens! (if I get a min)

Birthday and remembrance

So the last blog I wrote I only just uploaded and I wanted to make another blog as today is a special day.

14 years ago today my first son was born Callum Reece Inman I can't believe how fast the time has gone! It makes me feel really old! I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday even though I was only 18! The feeling at the moment of birth is the happiest feeling and a very strange emotion that nothing else can replicate. It's a feeling of happiness relief surprise glad that the baby is ok and that the mother is ok. You feel proud and self achievement. It's hard to believe that you can make a human being when you think about it nature is amazing.

I sent Callum a message this morning wishing him a happy birthday. This might sound odd but the last time I sent a card containing money it got posted back to me. So now I'm just showing that I never forget him and that I love him no matter what. It's really sad. :'(

Today is also my grandma's birthday Ethel may Brooks born 30th of January 1920! 80 years apart from Callum. Grandma thought it was amazing that Callum was born on her birthday she loved it! I really miss going round to see grandma and grandad (my olde bod)!
It was such a nice loving place to be, more so than home.
We always used to cook together but on certain days which I think was on a Wednesday when she used to go to the derby and Joan club the kitchen was closed! Lol. Old people really have there funny ways where there set in there ways and there's no changing them!

So ending this blog with good thoughts on this day of mixed emotions happy memories of those who are not with us and of those that can't be with us (me)

I hope Callum has a nice day, and that my grandad is at the bar ordering a pint of kimberley ale and a cheap one for the wife (slimline tonic water ice and a slice of lemon)

Much love xxxxxxxx

New year

Well I've left it far to long to blog again! Time is just flying by! And there is only 2 weeks to go until the next Inman will be here to join the foundation!

I can't really think that much has happened in the last 3 weeks or so since I last blogged.
I emailed Callum my eldest son to see if he wanted to meet up but no reply :-\ I know he's been turned against me but ill never give up hope on them both I think about them every day.

Hollie is going through a stage of bring funny about eating and waking up in the night for a bottle but I think she's been a little off with her stomach.

We had a week of snow which was fun we went out and made a snowman! Ethan took great pleasure in throwing snowballs at me and Hollie soon joined in on the fun!

Ha my bike stolen just after the new year which was pants! Especially when I'd just brought eighty quids worth of winter tyres!

So I've had to buy another one which I really could of done without the expense of doing!
I looked online and from what the reviews say the decathlon rock rider 8.1 was the best bargain to get. It cost £500 but it's worth £700 with the parts on it apparently!

It's nice but I'm pissed off that my dawes has gone!

I went out in the snow on the bike with Tony rich and Steve to Newstead abbey which was fun! Never been out on a bike in the snow so it was quite an experience!
